Buddy Holly
Buddy Holly
My name is Buddy Holly, and if I allow myself to be blunt, I ain't got no home. I came to Bright Eyes after my family had to move and were unable to take me along for the ride. Now, I'm looking for someone to love! My original name was "kitty" but that didn't quite suite me, so the folks who have been taking care of me started to call me Buddy Holly, which is a good name, don't you think? I have lived with both cats and dogs before, and I wouldn't mind having another calm feline to hang around with. When it comes to dogs, though, I'm gonna set my foot down and say that I would be much happier living in a dog free home. As far as kids go, I haven't been around them much as of yet. I am a fairly mellow man, and I really enjoy attention. I have a wonderful purr, or at least that's what they say here at the shelter! I don't talk too much, but when I do its a nice, polite, meow. I can be a little shy when first meeting people, but if you take your time and get to know me, you will open the door to my heart, and I know you will fall in love with me! I'm ready to find that one person or family that will look at me and love me, and in return I promise that I'm gonna love you too.

They imagine that when I was a small kitten I was a pet on a house with acreage. Then my owners moved, and somehow forgot to pack me. The next door neighbors noticed that I was crying and hungry, and most likely in the family way, had kind of that bulgy tummy. They brought me to the shelter where a birthing room was prepared, I had an ultrasound done, and withing 7 days, gave birth to 3 dazzling babies. I had a badly injured tail which was woody half way down. My neck was a wounded mess, probably from the papa. Eventually my dead tail piece fell off, and the next vertebrae was removed during my spay so that it was nicely covered with flesh. I am the most forgiving and easygoing kitty ever and ALWAYS go with the flow. Nothing bothers me and everything pleases me. Would make a wonderful companion for you. If you have room in your life for a slender, long legged, half tailed kitty, I'm the fit.

I was a stray living in a woodpile during the winter months. Finally retrieved and brought to the shelter, I have been cleaned up, spayed, and vaccinated. My eyes are the color of washed out turquoise, and so beautiful. Being the great tabby, I love everyone and am super cuddly. I knead with my front paws to show you how much I enjoy the touch of a human. I know I'm a cat, but I'm a little frightened to jump down from high places. I can really dig my claws into any surface if you try to make me, even the stainless steel. HA! Don't fuss over me, I will make you happy just sitting in your lap. You won't even know I'm there.
